Preschool Dance Classes at Rhythm and Shoes
We are an Affiliate Studio of Ready Set Dance, Ready Set Ballet, and Ready Set Tap in South Saint Paul. Ready Set classes are designed to keep preschoolers stimulated, fit, and most importantly ensure they have lots of fun while developing the 3 C’s:
READY SET DANCE is a combo class of JAZZ, TAP, BALLET, HIP HOP, and a lot of fun. This gender-neutral curriculum is the coolest dance class for the preschoolers of today!
JAZZ – Develop muscle strength, control, and balance and achieve coordination milestones like skipping and sequencing.
MUSIC – Develop the musical ear, explore creativity, and promote personal mastery with originally composed songs with musical cues.
HIP HOP – Bust out some ice-cold moves like Freeze to our fresh hip hop tracks that help children build confidence.
PROPS – Have fun on the parachute, being superhero, and balancing your stuffed animal. These resources support tactile awareness and strengthen fine motor coordination and control.
MIME – Explore creativity and gain confidence by going on a pirate adventure, riding the tutu train to Storybook Lane, and much more.
THEMED DANCES – Learn the beautifully themed dances with music prompts to support preschoolers’ playful participation.
TAP – Have fun creatively learning the basics of tap by splashing in puddles, riding the train, and shuffling like a penguin.
SINGING – Sing like Twirl and build confidence singing on the microphone.
BALLET – Specifically designed music that captures the beauty of classical ballet while teaching fundamentals.

Ready Set Dance began in 2015 and is offered globally in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada, and the United States. In 2019, READY SET DANCE partnered with Nickelodeon, to bring their music to life on the TV screen.
