Our Journey to Become a Hope Studio
At Rhythm and Shoes Dance Studio, we believe dance has the power to connect, inspire, and uplift. That’s why we’re proud to be on the journey to becoming a HOPE Studio with Dancers Against Cancer (DAC).
Dancers Against Cancer began in 2012 as a tribute to dancer Marissa Parks. Her courageous battle with brain cancer inspired a movement of hope and action within the dance world. What started as the “I’m a Dancer Against Cancer” campaign quickly grew into a national nonprofit. In 2014, DAC became an official 501(c)(3) organization. Since then, DAC has raised over $2 million to provide financial assistance and resources to dancers, educators, and families impacted by cancer.
A HOPE Studio is a studio committed to this mission, transforming the love of dance into tangible support for those who need it most. By joining, we are uniting with a network of studios across the country. United to foster compassion, generosity, and awareness in our own community.
